Founder Journal: Keep Showing Up
Founder Journal: Keep Showing Up
There are seasons in life where it feels like nothing is happening.
Applications disappear into the void. Interviews take longer than expected. The website gets traffic but no orders. You put your work out there and wonder if anyone even notices.
I’ve been there lately.
It’s easy to measure progress only by the big milestones—a new job, a flood of orders, or some viral moment online. But that’s not where most growth happens.
Growth usually looks a lot less exciting.
It looks like waking up early to film a sunrise with a cup of coffee. It looks like writing another journal entry that only a handful of people may read today. It looks like posting another reel because you believe in what you’re building, even when the numbers don’t reward you yet.
Recovery taught me that consistency matters more than motivation.
I didn’t rebuild my life in a weekend. I rebuilt it one decision at a time.
Second Ascent is being built the same way.
Every bag we roast. Every story we tell. Every sunrise we chase. Every trail we hike.
One step. One day. One ascent.
If you’re in a season where it feels like you’re climbing without making much progress, don’t quit.
Sometimes the most important thing you can do is simply keep showing up.
The summit isn’t built in a single climb.
It’s earned by refusing to turn around.
Thank you for being here and for supporting Second Ascent Coffee. Whether you’ve purchased a bag, shared a post, or simply followed the journey, you’re part of this climb.
See you on the trail.
