You Don’t Have to Have It All Figured Out
You Don’t Have to Have It All Figured Out
I think one of the hardest parts of rebuilding your life is expecting yourself to know where you’re going.
We want a plan. We want some kind of proof that all this work is leading somewhere. We want to know that if we keep doing the right things, eventually everything is going to make sense.
But a lot of the time, it doesn’t.
Sometimes recovery is just getting through today without going backward.
Sometimes progress is getting out of bed, making coffee, answering the thing you’ve been avoiding, going outside, or doing one small thing that makes tomorrow a little easier.
Those things don’t feel impressive.
Nobody sees most of them.
But I’ve learned that rebuilding a life happens through a lot of ordinary days like that.
I still have days where I have no idea what I’m doing or where all of this is going. I’m trying to get better at being okay with that.
I don’t need to see the whole trail.
I just need to see enough to take the next step.
And tomorrow, I can take another one.
Rise Again.
